Marcus Rashford makes Man Utd wage demand to become Premier League's highest-paid star

Marcus Rashford is seeking a deal worth £500,000 per week if he is to remain at Manchester United, with the forward's contract entering its final 12 months in the summer

The forward's current contract will enter its final 12 months this summer and talks have been ongoing regarding his future, especially given he's set new personal and club records with his performances on the pitch. However, negotiations have stalled.

The United man will turn 26 later this year and recognises that this contract is likely to be the most profitable of his career as he enters his peak years. Since the World Cup, few players in Europe have performed better than Rashford, who's helped United end their trophy drought

He has no desire to quit the Red Devils as talks between the club and Rashford's representatives take place, albeit there remain several stumbling blocks. The Glazers are reluctant to offer out new contracts, especially one of this value, before the ownership saga has been resolved, with several parties wanting to take the Premier League club off their hands.

United know that there would be no shortage of interest in the Englishman, who has previously been on the radar of PSG and Barcelona. The Parisians offered a mammoth offer previously, but it was knocked back.
